Łukasz Górski, PhD

Assistant Professor
Bio

Assistant Professor at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM), University of Warsaw. He holds doctorates in Technical Sciences with a specialization in Computer Science (2017) and in Law (2019). His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence and Law (AI & Law), with a particular emphasis on Explainable AI (XAI) and legal knowledge representation.

He is the author of numerous publications in renowned journals. He has led and participated in international research projects, including those funded by the Notre Dame–IBM Tech Ethics Lab and the EU Horizon 2020 framework. In his academic teaching, he conducts courses on Big Data processing and Natural Language Processing (NLP), and serves as an advisor for Master’s theses in the field of AI. He is a recipient of the HPC Challenge Class 2 Award for Code Elegance (Supercomputing ’14) and the Rector’s Award from the University of Warsaw.
