Mission and Core Competencies
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM) is a university-wide organizational unit under § 11 section 1 item 4 of the Statute of the University of Warsaw. It pursues the objectives referred to in § 19 section 1 items 1 and 3 of the Statute, and has been serving the University of Warsaw and the Polish scientific community since 1993.

Our mission is to build value for science and society by creating and delivering innovative mathematical, computer science, and computational solutions, driven by an interdisciplinary approach, collaboration, expertise, infrastructure, and data.
The tasks, forms of operation, and organizational structure of ICM are governed by the Regulations of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling [PL].

These include Supercomputing Frontiers Europe, various programs under the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” framework (Evolutionary PDEs, Crossing the borders of physics and biology), and leading global events such as Expo Dubai and the SC Conference.
