Dominik Batorski, PhD, DSc

Dominik Batorski, PhD, DSc is a sociologist and data scientist, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at ICM UW. For many years, he has been developing research and tools in computational social science, integrating quantitative research methodology with large-scale data analytics (including platform and administrative data). His research focuses on how digitalization and AI transform user behavior, markets, and public institutions—as well as how to design measurement and analytics frameworks that enable reliable inference under complex data-generating processes.

In parallel, he engages in advisory and implementation work, supporting institutions such as NASK-NRI in developing analytical solutions for data-driven public policy. He serves as Chairman of the CBOS Council and is a member of the Council of the Polish Economic Institute. He is also actively involved in growing the data science ecosystem in Poland (co-organizing and supporting events like the Data Science Summit, DevAI, and Warsaw Data Science Meetup).

• Quantitative research methodology: data quality, measurement design, and the integration of survey, administrative, and behavioral data
• Socio-economic consequences of digitalization and AI development (institutions, labor markets, productivity, public policies)
• Applications of ML/NLP and predictive analytics in social research and applied solutions
