OpenAIRE

ICM was one of the key partners in the OpenAIRE (Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe) project series carried out between 2006 and 2020. The goal of these initiatives was to establish and expand a European open science infrastructure, as well as to support researchers in sharing their findings in compliance with the European Commission’s requirements for EU framework programs.

Operating since 2018 as a non-profit partnership of fifty organizations, OpenAIRE AMKE provides the infrastructure supporting European scientific research, aggregates and links administrative and research data, and develops a range of services that facilitate the implementation of open science solutions for institutions, scientific communities, and researchers. OpenAIRE is a key entity co-creating the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

National Open Access Desks (NOADs) operate within the framework of OpenAIRE. In Poland, this role is fulfilled by ICM.
