Two decades of experience

The ICM has more than 20 years of experience in large-scale computing, modelling and data analysis. It was created in 1993 as a basic academic unit of the University of Warsaw.

ICM Scientific Council

The structure of ICM consists of a stable basic structure that ensures the implementation of its statutory tasks in the area of computational and information sciences, and a flexible project structure which involves groups and labs that are created according to the needs of current projects.
The ICM Scientific Council, chaired by Prof. Grzegorz Chałasiński, supports and supervises the everyday operation of ICM as well as its further development.
The goals and the internal structure and functioning of the ICM are defined in the Terms of Operation. The specific rules that govern the allocation of ICM’s computing resources are described in detail in the document Rules for selection of computational grants.
