Our Voice in the Polish Parliament

Dr. hab. Dominik Batorski from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM) at the University of Warsaw took part in a debate during the parliamentary conference “The Democratic State in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” The discussion focused on the potential role of AI in legislation, national development and security, as well as its impact on the electoral process.

Other participants included: Prof. Dr. hab. Marek Zubik, Editor-in-Chief of Przegląd Sejmowy (The Parliamentary Review); Prof. Dr. hab. Magdalena Musiał-Karg from the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań; Dr. Tomasz Gąsior from the National Electoral Office; and Dr. hab. Arwid Mednis from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.

The event took place on November 3 under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia. The conference was organized by the Sejm Library, a unit of the Chancellery of the Sejm responsible for collecting and providing access to documents related to parliamentary activities, as well as to materials in the fields of law, social sciences, and history. Since January 2024, the Library has also been the publisher of the academic journal Przegląd Sejmowy (The Parliamentary Review). A full report from the event is available at sejm.gov.pl
